To the Beginning

PRÉFACE

But then again, whatever plan or non-plan I had, someone had a different one in mind

It was 2 weeks before my 14th birthday and I was excited, not because I was a kid but because people kept telling me that in my young life this was going to be one of my most important birthdays. However; when I woke up on March 5th 2012, I had no idea what creator had planned for me. I was in the freestyle skiing team at our local ski mountain (more of a hill). I wore a full yellow suit, yellow ski pants, yellow ski jacket, yellow helmet, yellow gloves, the yellow was a bright yellow too, not a yellow you could miss. While I wasn’t very good in freestyle, I wasn’t scared, so most of the jumps I did were high jumps, I didn’t do any tricks. Looking back, I think I enjoyed flying for those couple seconds I did every time I went off a jump. My main sport was Tae Kwon Do and with this one I can say without a doubt that I was good. Very good. That summer, I was going to go to a training camp somewhere in the Midwest. That was going to be my way into the Olympics. But then again, whatever plan or non-plan I had someone had a different one in mind.
