You & Them

So, now on to your story, what if while you’re watching them, someone is watching you.

You’re at a dinner and run out of topics to talk about, or you grab a cup of coffee by yourself at the café near where you work, you’re traveling and are observing the local culture, you’re waiting for the train to go visit your mother; and you watch as people walk by. They walk past you not noticing you but you see them and because as humans we seek to relate and are creative, curious creatures we create their lives… you’re people watching. People say labels are bad but what if they’re just the first line of the story you’re mentally writing for that person. In reality, he’s a single dad, a widower, and he’s rushing home because he’s got a little ballerina to pick up from practice. However, in your story, he’s just another stressed out banker who probably works too much to even remember his son’s got a game. He’s running because he forgot to pick up the diapers he told his wife he had already gotten. So, now on to your story, what if while you’re watching them, someone is watching you.
